School information in a property listing is a starting point for research, not confirmation of enrollment. Before relying on it, verify the complete address and the school year directly with the applicable district.
Start with the property address
Use the street number, street name and unit number where applicable. A Mebane mailing address, a subdivision name or proximity to a school does not establish assignment. Confirm the property's jurisdiction and which district handles the address.
Use official district resources
- Alamance-Burlington School System provides a Find My Zone resource and enrollment information.
- Orange County Schools Enrollment & Assignment provides a School Site Locator and assignment resources.
Use the relevant district's tools, then ask its enrollment or assignment office to confirm the address and intended school year. Do not assume a current assignment will apply to a future year.
Questions to ask the district
- Which schools are assigned to this exact address for the year I am researching?
- Are boundary changes approved or proposed that could affect that year?
- What residency documents and enrollment steps are required?
- Are transfer, program or transportation arrangements subject to separate requirements?
Understand listing labels
A search labeled with a school name reflects information entered in listing data. It does not verify boundaries, eligibility, transportation, physical proximity or future assignment. A label such as "Call School Board" is an instruction to verify information, not a school name.
