23.1± Acres - Near Pond Mountain Game Lands in Ashe County NC. Looking for seclusion and cooler summer temperatures at 3,400ft+ elevations? This recently surveyed parcel is located in the Flatwoods community and it's only a 12-mi drive from Mountain City (TN) where you'll find daily amenities, including groceries, fuel, dining, etc. Enjoy trout fishing in Big Laurel Creek located at Pond Mountain Fire Department less than 0.1mi away. A tributary to Big Laurel Creek with at least two small waterfalls traverse this beautiful mountain property. A small area adjacent to the stream has been partially cleared and would make a good place for hunting, a food plot, or gardening. A culvert has just been installed to cross the stream, and the trails to the waterfalls and the top of the knoll have just been cleared. The knoll is heavily wooded, but has great potential views of nearby mountains and might be a great potential homesite. Current landowner has not had soils evaluated for septic.
